Terms & Conditions of Hire

These terms set out the key booking, payment, setup, cancellation and equipment-care conditions for The Slumber Squad party hire services.

1. Booking, deposit and balance payments

All hires are subject to a booking/security deposit of at least $50. A booking date is only secured once availability has been confirmed and the required payment has been received. 50% of the balance is required to complete the booking, with the remaining 50% due on or by the day of setup or delivery.

2. Setup area and access

The setup area must be clean, clear and ready before arrival. Furniture should be moved where needed and outdoor areas, walkways and unloading routes should be clear and free from pet mess or hazards. The Slumber Squad may refuse setup if the venue, site or access is unsuitable.

3. Supervision and use of equipment

The client is responsible for supervising children and guests throughout the hire period. The Slumber Squad provides styling, setup and collection; it does not provide party supervision. Shoes, sharp objects, gum, pets, smoking, face paint, nail polish and staining food or drinks should be kept away from the equipment.

4. Damage, loss and security bond

The client is responsible for the equipment during the rental period and agrees to cover damage, loss or theft. The refundable security bond may be withheld in full or in part if equipment or accessories are damaged, missing or returned soiled.

5. Cancellations and weather

If a client cancels after booking, the $50 deposit is withheld. Cancellations made 4–2 weeks before the event may be subject to 25% of the total booking cost plus the deposit. Cancellations within two weeks may be subject to 50% of the total booking cost plus the deposit. Outdoor parties cancelled because of bad weather may be eligible for a refund if cancelled more than 24 hours before the party date; cancellations within 24 hours may be subject to 50% of the total cost plus the deposit.

6. Liability and uncontrollable circumstances

The Slumber Squad accepts no liability for personal property loss, damage or injury arising from use of the rented equipment. If uncontrollable circumstances prevent fulfilment of the booking, liability is limited to refunding monies paid other than the non-refundable deposit, or a proportionate reduction where appropriate.

Important: Final booking terms should be confirmed with the customer’s quote and hire agreement before payment.
